Contemporary Kitchen Renovations

Architect Dirk Denison decided to be resourceful when informed that this homeowner did not like his new apartment’s recently installed white kitchen. Dirk opted to replace the super-glossy cabinetry with warm, white-painted wood. Also, turning cabinets over the sink into open floating shelves to allow hints of color.

In this Victorian home the biggest challenge has been the kitchen. Located on the second floor, Rob and his wife, Suzanne decided that it was time to remodel since it had not been redone since the late 70’s. There was still a lot of the original detail, all of which the couple has tried to retain. It’s white-painted cabinets were pressboard, and there was a brick chimney rising up from the furnace that took a whole corner out of the room. Discover more Remodeling Ideas from pro’s.

It’s part of a gallery of kitchens entitled kitchens around a central block – be sure to have a look-see. Very nice.

These sinks are specifically designed for small-space living and are beautifully streamlined to complement any design. In spaces where counter space is precious.
